Don't normally do heritage... but you must visit to see the Knutsford Millennium Tapestry. Awesome. Some great history of the Royal May Queen festival too... Not sure about buying a tapestry coaster or 1000 piece jigsaw, but don't walk past, pop in.

Great with magnificent tapestry.

Despite being bank holiday Monday and the Park being extremely busy once you left the main area you could find peace and quiet. We went in the Mansion and gardens (adults £13, can visit 3 of the attractions and can be used anytime over the next 12 months, we used two so we can go back another time and see either the farm or one of the two we already visited), we also had a bit of a walk around (My mother had a fall and some kind passers by assisted with first aid, she'd cut her nose with her glasses (they're not broken thankfully), she's otherwise fine but a little sore. The Park staff came and offered help, and took her details as it is a policy if someone is injured, and made sure she was OK. Thanks to both the passers by and the Park staff for helping), the Mansion staff are all very friendly, I'd encourage you to ask them questions if you are interested in knowing anything about the building and its history, they are very good. Only down side to it was the lack of toilets available; given it was a busy day it could have done with some portaloos in to cope with demand (just a thought). Parking costs £7 a car, staff were well drilled on getting everyone parked in a timely manner.

Absolutely brilliant day out for anybody and everybody. We've been several times as a family, and we've also had our Scouts here on a weekend of discovery. There's so much to see and do, it's impossible to fit everything in to one day... and you don't have to. The Gardens are stunning, no matter what the weather, but obviously in the summertime, when all is in bloom and the veggies are growing, it's even more stunning.

Tatton Park

Tatton Park Gardens, Mereheath Dr, Knutsford WA16 6QN, UK – 01625 374400

Lots to do. This time we only went to the farm but house and gardens are good. Be warned though if you are a nt member. You still have to pay to park. Entry to house and gardens free to members and farm entry half price. Good quality restaurant, not outlandishly expensive. Family friendly.

Lovely gardens within the amazing surrounding area of beauty. Individually the attractions can be a little pricey but if you spend the time to do them they are worth the money. Plenty to be seen within the gardens and manor house with some lovely walls to be done across the surrounding country side. Enjoyable for all.

Great website!. Click below to find gardens open during the year around Knutsford or Cheshire. There are photos and lots of detail about the garden.

I went to school here in '83-'84... And have been back a number of times.. Great memories and an amazing building & grounds.

A bit tricky if you follow googlemaps to find but not far from Knutsford about a mile and half outside. If you see signs for Tabley Hall OAP home follow them. Nice place and nice grounds, lovely old chapel and house. Café was busy and food looked good.
